On September 19, 1997, the Government of Finland, the Finnish International Aid Organization, and the Medical University of Mongolia implemented a project called “Oral Health”. After it was completed in 2000, this hospital was established as part of the national university of medical sciences. The hospital was given to the university, under the name of “Post-Graduation Training Centre”. After that the hospital began to operate in the field of treatment, prevention, research, and training of oral diseases. Since 2007, the hospital’s activities have expanded, and it has started to provide treatment services in the fields of facial and oral treatment, facial and oral defects, deformities, dental implants, plastic surgery, oral and facial care for the disabled, speech therapy for children with congenital cleft lip and palate, and facial and oral imaging.
